At Pets Trader, we believe in clear, upfront, and transparent pricing. A Marketplace Fee — a percentage of the winning bid or "Buy Now" price — is charged to the winning bidder or buyer at the time of purchase for any auction or fixed-price listing transaction. Your credit card is secured by Stripe.  We never share your credit card with sellers on the Marketplace.

Our Marketplace Fee powers your Pets Trader experience, including secure buyer and seller functions, Marketplace advertising, customer support, seller verification, and new features and improvements.

You will pay the listing's full purchase price directly to the seller, while Pets Trader collects a Marketplace Fee.

ℹ️ All Classified listings have no Marketplace Fees.  All classified activities happen outside the marketplace.
 

Marketplace Fee Tiered Percentages:

• 20% on the selling price up to $25

• 15% on the selling price over $25 to $50

• 10% on the selling price over $50 to $100

• 6% on the selling price over $100 to $250

• 4% on the selling price over $250+

Marketplace Fee Examples:

• Purchase Price: $10 → Marketplace Fee: $2

• Purchase Price: $25 → Marketplace Fee: $5

• Purchase Price: $50 → Marketplace Fee: $8.75

• Purchase Price: $100 → Marketplace Fee: $13.75

• Purchase Price: $500 → Marketplace Fee: $32.75

• Purchase Price: $2,000 → Marketplace Fee: $92.75
   

When you place a bid or select "Buy Now", you are entering into a binding agreement. If you win an auction, you are legally required to complete the transaction.

Failure to pay the seller will result in:

• Forfeiture of the Marketplace Fee (non-refundable).

• Immediate suspension of your Marketplace account.

• Possible loss of future bidding, buying, and listing privileges on Pets Trader.

⚠️ All listing upgrades or other Marketplace fees are non-refundable.

✅ Refund exception: If the seller is unable to fulfill the sale, you will receive a full refund of the Marketplace Fee.
